Inauguration Thursday the 15th of September, 10h00
This year, the 10th Annual Meeting made a point of sharing good practices and learn from each other’s concrete experiences. Indeed, sharing expertise between the UCCN members will enable our cities to maximize the use of creativity as a strategic factor for sustainable development. By showcasing these experiences, Östersund City hopes to enhance inspiration into the Network and to facilitate new local initiatives and inter-city partnerships.
To this purpose, UCCN Creative Sharing – The Good Practices exhibition, is the results of several months’ work led jointly by Östersund Creative City of Gastronomy and the UCCN office together with the large support of the UCCN Creative Cities.
From April 2016 up to now, 50 Creative Cities from the seven creative fields have submitted their experiences and other innovative initiatives leading to the gathering of no less than 63 good practices.
As the cooperation of the UCCN Cities has been so far so great, the exhibition contains outstanding experiences, which will provide the UCCN Cities with great insights of what is actually going on within the Network. From the business development perspective to the creative field awareness and long life learning process, from joyful festivals to professional and artistic exchange programmes, from sustainable urban development measures to international network, the 63 good practices contribute to strengthen cooperation with and among Cities that have recognized creativity as a strategic factor of sustainable development.
Gathering former experiences that have proven to reliably lead to a desired result, the exhibition also gives room to ongoing projects, which promise to be great examples in the coming future.
We thus invite you to visit UCCN Creative Sharing – The Good Practices exhibition, which will open its doors Thursday 15th of September 2016 in order to discover the UCCN best examples of actions within the Creative Cities Network. Furthermore, these significant information will serve as a basis for discussion during the thematic transversal workshops.
